Wide and twisted perspective

There is something very complicated with and within these photographs.
Maybe because of similarities i found in framing and depth, subject right in the middle though with space, lot's of surrounding space. When i first saw the first photograph by Pep Bonet i simply thought it holds so many issues.I belive it's a true decisive moment ,one of these you'd have to photograph or seeing it happen as you go.
I wonder if the way of framing was precise camera work or just a matter of chance.
A tip over a rock snapshot? All of the images are equally graphic with high contrast yet sharp. Christoph Bangert's image of sandstorm Baghdad is very satruated.i cant say whether it's shot at day or night.

I have seen more of these images over the time, this one i took last year.
I remember the moment it was taken very little.
